5 ways to keep your Moonline Home clean and tidy
They say that your home is an extension of yourself. But let’s be honest, for most of us, our house is an extensions of «my messy self». Books and papers everywhere, clothes and shoes bursting through the closet. Even though you hate the constant mess and tripping over crap that isn’t put away - then the only course of action is to take action.
These simple tasks will make keeping your home clean.
1. Set a timer
Why? Because it’s so easy to get distracted by children, phone calls, social media and other things that call your name. When you have kids, pets… a life - it can be super hard to keep your house organized and clean even if you want to. If you find yourself off task, it’s easy to get back on track. Set a timer for 40 minutes, whatever works best for you.
Daily habits as fold laundry in front of your favorite Netflix show, are things that you’ll do every day to keep your home clean and weekly tasks as vacuum floors or clean bathroom are bigger - more time-consuming. Tackling tasks quickly means you’re more likely ro actually do them!
2. Make your bed
Making your bed daily can actually change your life. Have you heard about «keystone habit»? It’s something that kick starts a pattern of other good behavior. Since it happens at the very beginning of the day, and exercise is another good example of this concept.
Also a made bed will instantly brighten up the bedroom and made the room feel a bit cleaner and organized.
3. Put everything away after use
It means do your dishes after every meal instead of having it turn into a monster! My husband actually have amazing ability to destroy a kitchen with one meal. Personally I like to clean the kitchen as I cook. Sometimes waiting just makes things feel overwhelming… The same goes for taking out trash - my trick is to put the trash out and place it by the front door.
4. Make laundry day easier
I’m sorry I can’t make laundry day go away… but I’ll help you make it a little bit fun? Whether you’re the type who do a little laundry every day or a ton of laundry once a week: don’t think of it as «laundry day» at all. While putting away clothes or ironing, you can stream media, podcasts and this way you can actually looking forward to laundry day.
5. The final secret
if you're tired of cleaning and shifting around items that you don't even like, it's time to declutter. Get rid of «stuff you’ll need one day». Donate it. The easiest way to get rid of your unwanted items is to drop them off at a local charity, or sell it online.
